SMS-Activation Terms of Service: the rights, obligations, and responsibilities that apply when using virtual phone numbers and online SMS reception services.

Welcome to SMS-Activation (hereinafter referred to as "this Service" or "we"). This Service provides users with virtual phone numbers and temporary SMS reception services.
Before using this Service, please read and fully understand the following Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms"). By registering an account, topping up, or using any feature of this Service, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree to any provision, please stop using this Service immediately.

1. Definitions

  • "This Service": refers to the virtual numbers, temporary SMS reception, API access, and related features provided by SMS-Activation.
  • "User" or "you": refers to any natural person or legal entity that registers, logs in, or uses this Service in any way.
  • "Virtual number": refers to a phone number not registered under the user's own name, assigned by this Service for temporarily receiving SMS messages.
  • "Account": refers to the account obtained after registration, used to log in, top up, and use this Service.
  • "API": refers to the application programming interface provided by this Service for programmatic access by developers.

2. Scope of Services

  1. This Service provides users with virtual phone numbers for receiving one-time SMS verification codes.
  2. Users can obtain numbers, receive SMS messages, and manage activation records via the web interface or the API.
  3. This Service does not guarantee the permanent availability of any specific number or verification code source; number resources and delivery rates are subject to carrier networks and third-party platform policies.
  4. We reserve the right to add, adjust, suspend, or take offline certain number resources, services, or features at any time according to operational needs, without further individual notice.

3. Account Registration and Management

  1. Users should register with a real, valid email address and are responsible for their login credentials and all activities under their account.
  2. Users are obligated to properly safeguard their account password and API key; losses caused by account leakage, transfer, or sharing shall be borne by the user.
  3. Each user may register only one account; registering multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse promotions is prohibited.
  4. We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or cancel accounts suspected of violations, fraud, or abuse, and to deduct the corresponding balance.

4. Fees and Payment

  1. This Service operates on a pay-as-you-go model; users must top up before using the corresponding amount of services.
  2. Specific prices, number rates, and packages are subject to the real-time display on this Service's pages; we reserve the right to adjust prices at any time.
  3. After a top-up, the funds are credited to the account balance and are generally non-refundable.
  4. Fees for numbers that have successfully received verification codes are non-refundable; failures caused by the user's own reasons (such as the number expiring before use, or entering incorrect information) are also non-refundable.
  5. If a number is unusable and no verification code is received due to reasons attributable to this Service or carriers, the corresponding fee will be automatically refunded by the system.

5. Acceptable Use

When using this Service, users shall comply with these Terms and must not use this Service for the following purposes:

  1. Committing fraud, phishing, money laundering, terrorist financing, or any other improper activities;
  2. Impersonating others or falsifying identity information for registration or verification;
  3. Reverse engineering, attacking, cracking, stress testing, or otherwise interfering with the normal operation of this Service;
  4. Using the API for malicious bulk requests, abusing number resources, or disrupting the order of number allocation;
  5. Reselling, sub-licensing, or otherwise providing this Service to third parties for profit.

If a user violates the above rules, we reserve the right to immediately stop providing the service and freeze the account balance.

6. Privacy and Data

  1. We attach great importance to user privacy; for detailed data handling rules, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
  2. The SMS content received by users is used only to complete the verification process; it is retained for the necessary period and then deleted, and will not be proactively disclosed to third parties.
  3. Users may not request us to provide SMS content received by other users' numbers.

7. Disclaimer

  1. This Service is provided on an "as is" basis; we make no express or implied warranties regarding the availability, timeliness, accuracy, or completeness of the service.
  2. We are not liable for damages caused by number unavailability, SMS delays, or message loss resulting from carrier network failures, third-party platform policy changes, force majeure, or similar events, but will do our best to assist in handling them.
  3. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of this Service.
  4. Any liability arising from a user's use of this Service in violation of these Terms shall be borne by the user.

8. Intellectual Property

  1. The page design, trademarks, logos, copy, code, and related intellectual property rights of this Service are owned by us; no one may copy, reproduce, or use them for commercial purposes without written authorization.
  2. Users may not remove or obscure the copyright, trademark, or other rights notices of this Service in any way.

9. Changes to the Terms

  1. We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time as needed for business development.
  2. Revised Terms take effect on the date they are published on this Service's pages; if you continue to use this Service after a revision, you are deemed to have accepted the revised Terms.
  3. If you do not agree to a revision, you should stop using this Service.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or this Service shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation between the parties.
